Living Room Film Set

At Warehouse 1 Productions, we recognize the significant role that living room sets play in film and television. These spaces serve as intimate backdrops for pivotal scenes, often encapsulating the essence of a narrative.

Our Living Room set is fully furnished and customizable. We provide a couch and two chairs, a desk and desk chair, a prop laptop computer, a prop television and stand, and a coffee table. All of our furniture can be rearranged, or moved in and out of the set, with ease. The walls of the set can be painted to better suit the aesthetic of your film, and there is a large opening to bring in and remove furniture.

Iconic Living Room Film Sets in Los Angeles

Friends
One of the most recognizable living rooms in television history is the one from Friends. Although the show is set in New York, the actual filming took place at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, Los Angeles. Monica’s apartment living room, with its eclectic decor and iconic purple walls, became a cultural touchstone, providing a cozy and familiar setting where much of the show’s humor and drama unfolded.

Mad Men
The living room of Don Draper’s home in Mad Men is another iconic set, reflecting the mid-century modern style of the 1960s. Filmed at Los Angeles Center Studios, the set design meticulously captures the era’s aesthetic, using bold colors and sleek furniture to enhance the storytelling. This living room serves as a backdrop for many of Draper’s complex personal and family dynamics.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
The opulent living room of the Banks’ mansion in  The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is a staple in television history. Filmed at Sunset Las Palmas Studios, this set epitomizes the contrast between Will Smith’s character’s modest background and his new life in Bel-Air. The living room’s grand staircase and luxurious decor became synonymous with the show’s themes of culture clash and family.

The Big Lebowski
In film, the living room of Jeff “The Dude” Lebowski in The Big Lebowski is a cult favorite. Shot at various locations around Los Angeles, including a modest apartment complex, this living room captures The Dude’s laid-back lifestyle. The set’s unkempt, lived-in look enhances the film’s quirky, offbeat humor.

At Warehouse 1 Productions, we draw inspiration from these iconic living room sets, understanding their power to shape character interactions and drive narratives.
